Bromsgrove Conservatives
Welcome to Bromsgrove
Conservative Association
On Thursday 18th June, the Bromsgrove Standard informed officers of the Association that Mark France had stated on an internet website that the ‘Julie Must Go’ petition would not now be presented to the Bromsgrove Conservative Association because it contained sensitive information, i.e. names and addresses, and therefore it was subject to data protection laws.
He added that if we were allowed to have the petition, we would try to discredit it.
We are not surprised by this turn of events and have suspected from the beginning that we would not see the petition.
Mr. France has now shown himself in his true colours, as a political opportunist trying to further his own ambitions.
This has been achieved at the expense of our very hardworking MP’s career, and he has used the anger of some Bromsgrove residents to that purpose.
In our opinion, Mark France should be forced by the people who signed it to hand in the petition. The information is not data protected as he would have people believe. His actions have now discredited himself and the group supporting him.
